The SEMCO Disperser / Dissolver is a high-performance equipment to disperse, dissolve, emulsify and deagglomerate products, acting in solid-liquid and liquid-liquid processes. It is the most used equipment for dispersion work.
It is a high-speed rotating equipment, efficient and adaptable to a wide range of processes and applications.
The equipment can be supplied in several configurations, with fixed or variable speed, according to the specific needs of each client.
The high efficiency of the Semco Disperser is provided by the use of its Cowles disperser disc. With the profile of its teeth combined to high speed, it generates a direct mechanical action, imposing the ideal speed on the material and thus creating an intense turbulence that causes hydraulic friction between the disc and the product.
The proper selection of the disperser disc and the correct sizing of the tank ensure the desired action, with flow patterns controlled in the tank, even in viscosity of 50,000 centipoises. Standardized Cowles disperser discs are usually manufactured in stainless steel and are easily removable from the shaft for replacement, cleaning or maintenance.
